Jabfab is almost entirely made up of content that is generated by our users, as they share how they feel about the world around them. This content may include topics of interest, Jab text and Fab text pictures or photographs, web links, video content, comments and discussions and other types of content over time. We truly want this to be a service that appeals to a huge cross-section of people, from teens to old wise old owls. So it goes without saying that we’d like everyone to be nice to one another, be courteous and considerate in the content you post. To help explain this a little more, here’s the kind of things we are talking about:

Content deemed to be nasty or inappropriate:

We don’t mind people exercising their freedom of speech and including the odd naughty words into their postings. We even created a ‘profanity filter’ that lets you decide if you want to include bad language and share it for the world to see, or tone it down. However, we absolutely do not want or encourage people to be plain nasty, bigoted, rude, hateful, and spiteful beyond reason or post imagery that is clearly going to be offensive to others, or possibly illegal – we won’t tolerate that.

Professional Self-promoters or detractors:

We don’t want people to use our service if they are going to be purely prompting themselves, creating topics about their products, businesses or services and. Fabbing it all day long etc., self-promoting and rigging the numbers. We want the site to be a source of collective truth, not fiction. Similarly we won’t tolerate bashing of others for profit or to falsely impact user sentiment about a topic or interest.

Advertising and Promotion:

Jabfab doesn’t need to be littered in advertisements, promotions, and links to external products or services for sale. We will take actions to avert such behavior and keep it relevant for our treasured users.

Keep it On point:

When providing your sentiments about a particular topic on Jabfab, please keep them focused on that topic, and not some other random or tenuously connected thing that you want to talk about. Let’s keep it true, keep it real!

Sensitive or Personal Information:

Please do not include personal information in your Jabs or Fabs. We do not want to see sensitive information shared in the course of a posting – for example addresses, phone numbers, emails, passwords, personally damaging facts etc.

Copyright and IP:

Jabfab does not want to be a collection device for other people’s content. Please do not copy and paste other people’s work or sentiments into the site – we want to hear YOUR feelings, YOUR truths. Bring it

We designed Jabfab to be different and complementary with review and feedback sites. Our site is designed to let you share how you feel in the spur of the moment and it’s not restricted to any topic at all. You don’t have to just Jab restaurants and hotels, and we aren’t a review site – you don’t have to write reviews, just write how you feel. Get it off your chest, be heard!

For our users who have signed up accounts or have signed in using their Facebook ID, we allow photo sharing along with your Jab or Fab posting. Please make sure the photo is yours and you are allowed to post it and it’s not illegal or offensive. Photos can be a great way of illustrating why you love something so much and are Fabbing it, or why it sucks big time and you want to show the world.

Our whole community will benefit if you are able to share your profile information on Jabfab. When we combine your profile information with your sentiments or feelings, this can be pretty powerful for the businesses and brands who are listening. You don’t have to share a full profile, you can just have a user name and email and that’s it – it’s up to you. Rest assured we will never share who you are with anyone – we will only ever provide anonymized summaries of data that help businesses to improve their offerings – e.g. how may Male people aged 24-40 agree on a particular topic. So please complete your profile carefully and don’t put nonsense and any old characters in the fields provided. Thank you!

For every topic on Jabfab there’s a Comment Wall where we encourage our users to join the conversation and weigh in on a particular subject. We provide space to comment freely and decide if you agree or disagree with the last person. In these chat-like forums, please refrain from being nasty, posting sentiments or comments irrelevant to the conversation topic, or being abusive to people. Always make it healthy debate.
